Dr. Wendy Osefo, a prominent cast member of The Real Housewives of Potomac, and her husband, attorney and entrepreneur Eddie Osefo, have been arrested and charged with multiple counts of insurance fraud in Carroll County, Maryland.
The charges stem from an alleged staged burglary at their home in April 2024, during which they claimed that over $200,000 worth of luxury items, including designer handbags and jewelry, were stolen while they were on vacation in Jamaica.
Investigators discovered discrepancies in the Osefos’ claims, including evidence that several of the reported stolen items had been returned for refunds prior to the alleged burglary. Additionally, Wendy Osefo was reportedly seen wearing a diamond ring that had been listed as stolen in the insurance claim. The couple is accused of attempting to defraud insurers of approximately $450,000.
