The Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Issac Omoyele, has reportedly honoured the invitation of the Police investigation team at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
According to a post on the official Facebook page of Osun Amotekun, Omoyele honoured the invite on Thursday, October 16.
The post stated that Omoyele went to Abuja following the directive of Governor Ademola Adeleke to the leadership of the Amotekun Corps to offer maximum cooperation with the police investigation team in bringing justice to the perpetrators.
It added that the commander would assist the police in the ongoing investigation of the Akinlalu killings, reportedly by some officials of Amotekun corps.

OSUN DEFENDER reports that the state Police Command had earlier said efforts to bring Omoyele in for questioning had proved abortive.
The spokesperson for the command, Abiodun Ojelabi, who also disclosed that the Akinlalu killings case has been taken over by the Inspector General of Police, said, “The Commander of Amotekun Corps has been invited to clarify his role played in the entire episode of the attack. Meanwhile, he has refused to honour the invitation and, equally, efforts made to reach him on phone proved abortive as his phone has been switched off.
“Only for him to come on social media on 6th October, 2025, and put up a claim of being attacked by unknown armed men wearing masks, which preliminary enquiry reveals to be a figment of his own imagination aimed at concealing the truth and derailing the course of justice to the victims.”
