The recent exposé by American fact-finder Mike Arnold, who likened Reno Omokri to Nigeria’s Joseph Goebbels, a master of propaganda for the highest bidder did not come as a surprise to many Nigerians. Those familiar with Omokri’s long history of deceit and opportunism can only nod in weary recognition.
What is most disheartening is Omokri’s attempt to dismiss Arnold’s revelations as the work of a “foreign puppet.” This is coming from the same man who once publicly advocated for the protection of Christians in Northern Nigeria, yet now downplays the ongoing genocide against Christians that continues to stain our nation’s conscience.
Over the years, Reno Omokri has shifted political allegiances more times than the seasons. He championed Atiku Abubakar, only to later embrace Peter Obi, calling him the most credible candidate. Then, after Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s victory, Omokri swiftly changed tune…hurling insults, spreading propaganda, and seeking relevance like a desperate canary searching for food.

His record of political inconsistency is not only embarrassing but reveals a man whose loyalty is measured solely in currency.
Mike Arnold’s statement that “Nigeria is facing a calculated genocide against Christians” should alarm every Nigerian of conscience. The evidence of these killings are church burnings, targeted attacks, forced displacements which cannot be denied or whitewashed by clever propaganda.
Each time those in power deny these atrocities, they share in the guilt of the blood that continues to flow across our land.
If this administration cannot stop the systematic killings, then the international community must intervene or Nigerians must be empowered to defend their faith and their lives. Nigeria is a secular state, and no religion must ever claim superiority over another.
The truth may be inconvenient, but it remains unstoppable: The blood of the innocent will continue to cry until justice is done.
This is not about Mike Arnold, but the people who are being killed everyday and others using them for cheap political gains.
