Legendary juju musician Ebenezer Obey has responded to online rumours alleging that he had died and suffered a stroke.
Obey, in a video posted on Instagram, dismissed the reports as “lies from the kingdom of darkness.”
In the video, the musician appeared alongside his two sons to sing and reassure fans of his wellbeing. The video is captioned, “Stop the rumours!!!! Ebenezer Obey is alive and well.”
Obey explained that he had travelled to London for personal care, adding that he was surprised over the spread of false reports accompanied by images of coffins.
“Everything they have said is nothing but lies that came from the kingdom of darkness. I am alive, I am alive, says the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you very much. I don’t have a stroke. I came to London to look after myself,” he added.
The 82-year-old faced similar rumours in 2020 and again earlier this year.
