In a recent video on YouTube, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has urged Christians not to fear the challenges confronting the world, assuring them of divine protection and deliverance through turbulent times.
Speaking during a recent sermon, Adeboye drew parallels between the Israelites’ experience at the Red Sea and the present global crises, reminding believers that faith and obedience to God’s word guarantee victory. “They only heard from Moses. And Moses said unto them, ‘Fear not, be still and see the salvation of the Lord which He will perform for you today. The enemies you have seen today, you won’t see them again,’” he quoted.
He explained that while the Israelites did not hear God directly, they trusted the message He gave through His servant. “It was Moses who said that. The people didn’t hear God saying to Moses, ‘This is what you must do.’ They only heard what Moses said,” Adeboye stated.
The respected cleric clarified that his messages are not born out of self-promotion or prophetic claims but from divine inspiration. “I’m not claiming to be a prophet. I’ve told you again and again, I’m not a prophet. I’m a pastor,” he affirmed.
Reflecting on his earlier warnings, Adeboye reminded the congregation of his prediction at the start of the year. “I told you at the beginning of the year that this year, the world is going to behave like a child in convulsion,” he recalled. “But I also told you, those of you who are my children in particular, you are going to pass through this thing without a problem.”
He assured his listeners that divine preservation remains guaranteed for those who genuinely follow God. “Those of you who are genuinely my children, you will pass through the sea without even a touch of water on you,” Adeboye declared.
Using the story of the three Hebrew men, he emphasized God’s power to protect His people even in extreme circumstances. “When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the fiery furnace, even the smell of fire was not upon them,” he said.
Adeboye concluded by encouraging believers to remain steadfast and fearless in faith, affirming that God’s presence is sufficient to preserve His children through any trial. “The same God who delivered the Israelites and rescued the three Hebrew boys will see His people through today’s fire without a trace of harm,” he assured.
