The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has rescued a 16-year-old domestic worker after her employer allegedly poured hot water on her in the Gwarinpa area of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
NAPTIP, in a statement posted on its official Facebook page on Friday, said the rescue was made possible following a tip-off from neighbours of the employer.
According to the agency, the teenager, who was employed to take care of her employer’s three children, was first taken to a hospital by neighbours who witnessed the assault.
