Dr. Kabir Adamu, security expert and CEO of Beacon Security and Intelligence Limited, has alleged that coordinated pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump and the United Kingdom suggests a political figure may be orchestrating efforts behind the scenes to target Nigeria.
Speaking in an interview with Channels TV, Dr. Adamu questioned the timing and coordination of international pressure on Nigeria. “Donald Trump is putting pressure on us, and then all of a sudden someone is also using the UK to put pressure on the Nigerian state. I think we also need to manage our own challenges and not necessarily—there is a game going on, and I’m not sure what it is. I hope the Nigerian state is very conscious and is able to manage it,” he said.
The security expert emphasized that travel advisories are routine diplomatic tools rather than extraordinary developments.
Dr. Adamu expressed concern about what he perceives as coordinated efforts to amplify routine diplomatic communications into a crisis narrative.
He noted that Western embassies regularly update their travel advisories based on security assessments, and the current UK advisory contains no significant changes from previous versions in terms of the number of Nigerian states flagged as high-risk.
He alluded that the sudden media attention suggests a deliberate campaign to create pressure on Nigeria, and he urged the Nigerian government to remain vigilant and strategically manage what he characterized as a coordinated political game whose ultimate objectives remain unclear. Read Original
