The “State of the Nigerian Girl Report 2025” which highlights critical issues affecting girls in Nigeria, including high rates of child marriage, poor educational outcomes, and gender-based violence, has been validated and slated for formal launch in November 2025.
The Report aimed to understand the current trends in child marriage in Nigeria as all states recently promulgated a Child Rights Law in terms of the Child Rights Act 2003 and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child both of which prohibit child marriage.Read Original
