Fresh details have emerged on the identities of senior officers detained over the alleged foiled coup plot against President Bola Tinubu’s administration. According to sources who spoke to Premium Times, 14 of the 16 officers currently under interrogation belong to the Nigerian Army, while the remaining two are drawn from the Navy and the Air Force.
Of the 14 Army personnel, 12 are said to be from the Infantry Corps, the combat arm whose troops primarily engage in ground battles.
