The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced a significant reduction in the cost of next year’s Hajj, lowering fares by about N200,000 compared to 2025.
In a statement, the Commission said intending pilgrims from the Maiduguri–Yola Zone, which covers Yobe, Borno, Adamawa and Taraba States, will pay ₦8,118,333.67.
Those from other northern states are to pay ₦8,244,813.67, while pilgrims from the southern states will be charged ₦8,561,013.67.
By comparison, in 2025, fares stood at ₦8,327,125.59 for the Maiduguri–Yola Zone, ₦8,457,685.59 for other northern states, and ₦8,784,085.59 for southern states.

NAHCON also extended the deadline for payment of Hajj fares to December 31, 2025, after consultations with stakeholders and approval from the Federal Government.
Meanwhile, a delegation of the Commission in Saudi Arabia has signed agreements with the 2026 Hajj Service Provider, Mashareeq Al-Zahabiyya, as well as with the Transportation Company, Daleel Al-Ma’aleem.
Saudi authorities have set October 12, 2025, as the deadline for uploading pilgrims’ data on the Nusuk platform. NAHCON had earlier instructed State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies, Commissions, and licensed Hajj Tour Operators to remit fares no later than October 8, 2025.
