The Delta State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has formally presented Oritsemami Obioru as its aspirant for the Delta South Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections.
Obioru reaffirmed his ambition during a solidarity visit to the Delta State ADC Chairman, Austine Okolie, at the party’s secretariat in Asaba.
Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Obioru said his visit underscored his loyalty to the ADC and his commitment to working closely with the party’s leadership to build a united and progressive Delta South.

“Our discussion centred on my ambition to run for the Delta South Senate seat in 2027; how to deepen cooperation and collaboration among party faithful, strengthen party structures, mobilize support across the eight local government areas of Delta South.
“To foster youth and women’s participation in politics, and pursue issue-based campaigns to tackle environmental degradation, unemployment, and underdevelopment,” he said.
The ADC Warri South Local Government Chairman, Excel Otonne Ololo, who attended the meeting, pledged support for Obioru’s bid, describing him as a “trusted and illustrious son of the soil” whose aspiration represents hope, inclusivity, and the promise of impactful representation.
According to Ololo, Obioru’s proposed people-centred policies could catalyse socio-economic and infrastructural development in Delta South, thereby improving the lives of its residents.
In his remarks, Delta State ADC Chairman, Okolie, commended Obioru for his dedication to the growth of the party.
He described him as a vibrant leader whose grassroots engagement and policy ideas align with the ADC’s vision of inclusiveness, accountability, and transformative leadership.
Okolie further emphasised the need to harmonise interests within the party and position the ADC as a credible platform capable of entrenching transparency and good governance in Delta State.
