In an interview with Channels Television, Nwoko said that when he discussed the idea of creating Anioma State with President Bola Tinubu before leaving the PDP to join the APC, the president assured him of his full support. He said President Tinubu made it clear that once lawmakers complete their part, he will take it up from there
Nwoko explained that the National Assembly is already close to finishing its legislative work, which includes moving the proposal to the third reading and preparing for a referendum. He said that after these steps are completed, it will be up to the president to act on the matter. He expressed confidence that with the current level of commitment, Anioma State could soon become a reality.
