ADC spokesman slams Tinubu for vacationing abroad as bandits kill 102 Nigerians in 4 states

The National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, has taken a swipe at President Bola Tinubu over the rising wave of insecurity across the country.

In a statement posted on his official X handle on Monday, Abdullahi said 102 Nigerians were killed this weekend in Borno, Edo, Katsina and Sokoto states.

The former minister accused the president of turning a blind eye to the killings while on vacation abroad.

His words: “Dear Mr. President, while you are away enjoying your well-deserved vacation, this weekend, 102 Nigerians were killed in Borno, Edo, Katsina and Sokoto.

“Of course, this is just a minor inconvenience — nothing worth cutting your trip short over. Sorry to disturb you, Sir.”

The sharp criticism comes amid mounting concerns over the federal government’s handling of worsening insecurity, with communities across the north and south crying out for urgent intervention.

Tinubu, who travelled out of the country on a private visit, has not made any public statement on the reported killings.

Human rights advocates and opposition voices have in recent weeks accused the administration of failing to prioritise security despite repeated promises.
