According to Punch, Nollywood actress Uche Montana has firmly denied allegations linking her to the alleged drug abuse crisis involving fellow actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Montana addressed the issue in a statement shared on her Instagram page on Monday, following Senator Nwoko’s recent Facebook post that accused some of Regina’s close associates of interfering with her rehabilitation.
In his statement, Nwoko had claimed that Regina’s siblings and friends, including actresses Sonia Uche and Uche Montana, had been undermining his wife’s recovery.
He alleged that despite medical advice limiting contact with Regina during therapy, the group continued to visit her and would “bring her the same drugs she was being treated for.”
According to him, their actions had hindered her progress and sabotaged the efforts of medical professionals.
Responding to these claims, Montana publicly distanced herself from the controversy.
She wrote, “My attention has been drawn to a circulating post that appears to link my name to certain claims.”
She emphasized that the allegations were false and unfounded, adding, “For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace.”
The actress made it clear that she was not part of any actions or events associated with Regina Daniels’ alleged drug-related issues.
Her statement aimed to dispel misconceptions and ensure her reputation was not tarnished by the ongoing controversy.
Montana’s reaction underscores her determination to maintain her integrity and focus on her career amid the public scrutiny surrounding the matter. Read Original
