Lere Olayinka, the senior special adviser on media to the former governor of Rivers State and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike has taken to his official X handle to react after several secondary school students went berserk, molested a teacher to death in Oyo State. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the teacher’s offence was preventing them from gambling.
The news regarding the tragic death of a secondary teacher at the hands of his students in a secondary school in Ogbomoso, Oyo State generated mixed reactions after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.
In a twist of events, the secondary school teacher whose identities were not ventilated to the general public in an attempt to prevent the errant students from gambling, met his untimely death as the said students turned against him and beat him up.

According to his statements, he pointed out that the teacher’s only crime was stopping the said students from gambling, an activity which has become a norm among the youths as the quest for quick money intensifies.
