According to a report by The Times Of Israel, Defense Minister Israel Katz used his address at an IDF cadets’ graduation to acknowledge that, while the most intense phase of fighting in Gaza has drawn to a close with the current ceasefire, Israel still faces substantial security burdens.
Speaking at the officers’ training school in southern Israel, Bahad 1, Katz said the lull in large-scale combat should not be mistaken for the end of Israel’s objectives. “The intensive fighting in the Gaza Strip is expected, indeed, to end, but many challenges still lie ahead of us on several fronts, and we will not cease to act until we achieve them,” he told the graduating officers.Read Original
