Oba Ogunwusi further urged Nigerians to embrace cultural values and traditions, which he described as vital tools for social cohesion and national rebirth. He emphasized that culture, when properly harnessed, can serve as a unifying force and a foundation for progress.
Reiterating his vision for the renaissance of Yoruba culture, the Ooni pledged continued investment in youth empowerment, education, and women’s inclusion in leadership, describing them as essential pillars of a balanced and progressive society.
He also extended appreciation to sons and daughters of the Oduduwa race across the world for their loyalty and dedication to preserving Yoruba heritage.
“I thank all sons and daughters of Oduduwa for their support and contributions toward sustaining the legacy of our ancestors. Let us continue to project peace, love, and respect for humanity,” the monarch said.
Oba Ogunwusi concluded by calling for renewed national unity and collective effort to build a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria, anchored on shared values and cultural pride.
