Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, has opened up on the frustrations he faced in Muhammadu Buhari’s government after uncovering a major corruption case.
Dalung revealed that he discovered monumental corruption amounting to about ₦11 billion and reported the matter to former President Buhari, who directed him to refer it to the relevant security agencies for investigation.
Speaking in an interview with News Central TV from 11:23, he stated that instead of pursuing justice, security officials questioned his motives and even demanded money from him to proceed with the investigation.

In Solomon Dalung’s words:
“There was a case of monumental corruption which I uncovered, and I reported it to the president. The president directed me to refer it to relevant security agencies. It was during the investigation that I was invited by one of the security agencies and was asked if I was prosecuting that case because the person I accused was not of the same faith with me. The money in question was about ₦11 billion. I was later asked for money to enable the investigation to proceed. When I came out of that office, I was so disappointed, and I went back to complain to the president, but nothing happened. So I felt betrayed.”
