THE Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), has enjoined intending Christian Pilgrims to Israel and Jordan to pray for Nigerian leaders and the Middle/East.
NCPC Executive Secretary, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, made the appeal in a statement signed by Mr Celestine Toruka, its Deputy Director and Head, Media and Public Relations, on Saturday in Abuja.
Adegbite urged the intending pilgrims from Imo and Adamawa states to pray for peace among others.
“I urge you to pray for peace in Israel, Middle East, Nigeria and for troubled homes. Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace and so He will give peace to every nation that needs it.

“I urge you to uphold President Bola Tinubu, the Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima, as well as the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu in prayer while in the Holy Land.
“Pray for your governors and yourselves in the Holy Land,” he stressed.
Adegbite also admonished them to remember Nigeria in their prayers as their pilgrimage coincided with the country’s 65th independence anniversary on Oct. 1.
He also charged the pilgrims to shun any act of abscondment, stressing that it would bring shame to their families, states and Nigeria.
Adegbite said the commission would continue to strive toward ensuring the zero absconding of pilgrims during pilgrimage by putting every mechanism in place to checkmate it.
According to him, President Bola Tinubu wants them to be satisfied and as such is doing everything possible to fix Nigeria.
Adegbite said that Tinubu has been very supportive of the cause of pilgrimage in Nigeria for both Christian and Muslims.
In line with the President’s vision, he said, the commission would stop at nothing to ensure that pilgrims enjoyed their pilgrimages.
He explained that this was in alignment with the ideals of the commission’s corporate slogan of “Service and Satisfaction.”(NAN)
